High Repetition, Low Fidelity Simulation for High Acuity, Low Occurrence Procedures

Date: Tuesday 18 July
Time: 1.00pm – 5.30pm
Cost: $200
Location: The Extra

As simulation gets more and more high tech, with disturbingly realistic (and expensive) mannequins and models, this session will focus on the benefits of low fidelity simulation performed both frequently and regularly to train for procedures which, while rarely performed in ED, are vital competencies for Emergency Physicians. The session will include a panel discussion engaging experts and enthusiasts in the realm of low fidelity simulation, as well as advice, tips and information on how to create these low fidelity models at home (or work). You will also get a chance to try out a selection of low fidelity models and get a feel for how they function.
