CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Destination NSW copyrightAbstract Submissions have now closed.
The Symposium theme is “Transitioning the Coalface”.
The Symposium Abstract Themes are as follows:
Transition of Practice – Scientific evidence forms the basis of best clinical care. Topics around this theme will provide the best quality evidence that transforms clinical care leading to better patient outcomes.
Transition of Process – The COVID pandemic and modern technology is changing the ways EDs work and allowing the space for innovation in providing care. Topics around this theme will examine how EDs function and how they may perform better to improve patient outcomes and their place within the wider world.
Transition of People – The last few years have been difficult with many pressures in providing emergency care. Topics around this theme will allow us to reflect upon our greatest asset in emergency care – the people who staff the EDs and how we can better look after this most precious resource in emergency medicine. We invite you to be creative in how to approach this theme. This may be in the form of a case study, personal story or describing a journey of effective system wide change. To reflect this, an alternate submission template is available which can be used for non-scientific paper submissions.
